Degrees and Certifications:
Emily Williams has been with Sycamore Community Schools since 2014, first as an ESOL instructor and now as the ESOL Supervisor. Williams received her bachelor's degree in Agriculture from The Ohio State University and her M.A. TESOL from Ohio Dominican University. In 2015, she received Master Teacher recognition.
Prior to Sycamore, she led ESOL programs on both regional campuses of Miami University from 2011-2014. She was an ESOL instructor in Lakota Local Schools from 2007-2011 at both the high school and elementary levels. She found her passion for teaching English when she was a U.S. Peace Corps Agricultural Volunteer in Nicaragua from 2002-2003. Williams is an active member of the Ohio TESOL Board and is a member of the TESOL International Association.
Williams is passionate about building relationships that bridge gaps in order to encourage both social and academic growth through the creation of cultural connections and culturally responsive practices. Williams resides in Lebanon, OH with her husband, Zachary, and daughter, Josephine.
