Fundraising at Maple Dale
Under the direction of the PTO, our community raises more than $35,000 each year to fund a range of much appreciated “extras” for Maple Dale Elementary School. The majority of these funds cover the cost of programs (One School, One Book; COSI traveling science museum; Author Visits and Math Night) and grants for each homeroom teacher and grade level to be used for the benefit of their students as they see need.
In addition to these annual expenses, the PTO picks an area or project for a major investment. In the past, these have covered the cost of new books for our library, technology to augment district purchases, playground equipment, and more.
To minimize the time spent raising funds efforts are limited to two major fundraisers a year - a walk-a-thon in the fall and a carnival in the spring. In addition to these, participation in ongoing no-hassle fundraising through local businesses is encouraged. Several times a year area restaurants will return a portion of a night’s sales to the school. Kroger and Pipkins return a portion of sales to the school. General Mills Box Tops for Education are also collected.
Please consider supporting Maple Dale Elementary School through your participation in one of these ongoing or upcoming opportunities.
