Phase III: Concept Testing

  • During the Winter 2019, Sycamore Community Schools began Phase III of the process by concept testing three viable options selected by the Master Facility Steering Committee.

    The district held seven public sessions throughout the community to engage with residents and taxpayers. The district also held seven closed sessions for students, staff, and district advisory groups. One of the public sessions was streamed live on YouTube and archived for future viewing. At the end of the in-depth presentation on the three plans, participants were asked to take a short survey to gauge their preferences. 

    More than 900 participants were surveyed on their preferences for three different options. The results directed the Master Facility Steering Committee and the Board of Education's ultimate recommendation.
