Jamie Jackson

Jamie Jackson began serving as the Supervisor of Gifted Programming in August of 2022. Prior to joining Sycamore Community Schools, she was a gifted consultant for the Hamilton County Educational Service Center where she coordinated for two additional districts. Ms. Jackson brings 17 years of experience as a classroom teacher, gifted intervention specialist, and literacy coach.Her desire to work alongside teachers and serve them by guiding them to perfect their teaching craft led her to obtain her Teacher Leadership degree and Principal Licensure. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2018 with her Master’s degree. To further the knowledge of gifted learners for educators, she has presented various professional development sessions on gifted and literacy topics. She has facilitated book studies for highly qualified professional development, and remains passionate about raising an awareness and call to action toward the social and emotional health for gifted learners. Additionally, she is a member of SWOCoG, OAGC, and the NAGC.

As the Supervisor of Gifted Programming, Ms. Jackson duties include: collaborating with the curriculum director, assistant superintendent, administrators, teachers, and community to implement gifted programming; studying, evaluating, and implementing innovative techniques and methods; providing leadership in the development, alignment, articulation, and implementation of an exemplary gifted program, and improving the program through evaluation and best practices.
