Sycamore’s Special Education program is dedicated to providing additional services, support, programs, specialized placements, or environments to ensure that all students' educational needs are met.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004, the federal law commonly referred to as “IDEA”, has established a process for determining student educational needs and getting special education services, if a child’s disability requires them. “Whose IDEA Is This? A Parent's Guide to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA)” boils down language of the Act to main points that will help parents be an effective partner in their child’s education.
