Sycamore Community Schools

English Learners

Sycamore Schools has students from 54 countries who represent more than 40 different languages.

We are proud of our cultural and linguistic diversity and are committed to supporting your transition into our school district.

Our English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program helps students overcome cultural and language challenges to achieve fluency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English. Our goal is for all students to attain the academic language proficiency needed to fully participate in mainstream classes. Our services are based on inclusion and active participation to support each student's journey.

Find important school information in your preferred language by clicking the Translated Student Handbooks button.
