Victor Harris
Board President

Victor Harris has a Bachelor of Arts in Comprehensive Social Studies Education as well as a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Supervision from Miami University. He taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies for 33 years at Sycamore Junior High as well as coaching various sports. He and his wife have lived in the Sycamore community since 2004 and both of their children attended Sycamore Schools. After retiring from teaching at Sycamore in June 2023, he took a job teaching intervention at the Seven Hills School. He was elected to the board in November 2023.

Dr. Adrienne James
Board Vice President

Dr. Adrienne C. James earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wittenberg University, a Master’s degree from Xavier University, and a Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati. She retired from Sycamore after serving 33 years in the district as a teacher, administrator, and Superintendent. She is currently an educational consultant and executive coach. Dr. James and her husband have lived in the district for 16 years and have 4 grandchildren attending Sycamore Schools. She was elected to the Sycamore Board of Education in November 2023.

Paul Balent

Paul Balent is a Global Sales Director for Nalco Water, where he has worked since 1992. Mr. Balent completed his Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University. He and his wife have lived in Montgomery since 2006 and have two daughters who attend Sycamore Community Schools. Mr. Balent was appointed to the Board in May 2015 and elected in November 2015.

Sara Bitter
Board Member
TERM EXPIRES: 2029
Sara Bitter has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She is also a Law Trainee Graduate of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Bitter has lived in the Sycamore School District for 18 years and is a parent to two Sycamore students. She has been an active volunteer in her children's schools and has served on numerous community boards. Sara is an attorney at the Children’s Law Center. She was elected to the Sycamore Board of Education in November 2021.
