Blue Ash Elementary PTO
A Message From Our PTO President
Dear Blue Ash Parent or Guardian,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Blue Ash Elementary! I hope your summer was filled with fun, and that you and your child/ren are looking forward to the upcoming year.
We will have our Welcome Back Coffee on Tuesday, August 20th at 9:30am in the cafeteria. This is a great way to meet other parents and to meet the PTO Executive Board. Our first PTO meeting is Thursday, September 12th at 9:30am in the cafeteria. The meetings will always be at 9:30am and will be held on the second Thursday of September, October, January, and March. Our May meeting will be the first Thursday of the month. (Siblings are always welcome at the daytime meetings.) Arrive a few minutes early to socialize at 9:15 before each meeting. We are hoping to see many new faces at these meetings. PTO meetings and events are a great way to get to know other parents, find out what is happening at our school, and make a difference in your child’s education.
The PTO will have their first fundraiser on Friday, September 13th. We will be having a Dance-a-Thon! More information will be sent home in your child’s backpack. The kids always have fun at this event. Volunteers are always needed. Let’s dance!
I, and the rest of the executive board, look forward to working with you this year as we do our best to make a positive difference for our children, the staff, and our school. Please contact me anytime with questions.

A Message From Our Principal
A community is a group of people with diverse characteristics who are linked by social ties, share common perspectives, and engage in joint action. As I reflect on the roles of our PTO leaders and volunteers, this is exactly what I have experienced at Blue Ash Elementary - a group of dedicated parents with varied backgrounds, interests, talents and passions, who have united together with the same purpose – to enrich the lives of our children. There truly is no better way to support our school, than for a parent to give a little of his/her/their time and energy. Whether it is as a homeroom volunteer, or sharing a leadership position that plans and supports beloved events like Haunted Festival - there is a place and a need for everyone to serve. As we begin the new school year, we are again looking for parents that love our school, that support our focus on children, and who love to work with a network of other parents and teachers who feel the same. I sincerely hope you will consider being a part of our team at BAE by joining the PTO. In talking with parents who have, and continue to serve, you won’t find a more fulfilling and entertaining way to spend your time!
