Summer School

  • Summer Learning Opportunities for K-12 Students - 2022

    Grades  Kindergarten - 8th

In an effort to provide a continuity of support to our learners and their families, we will be offering intervention and enrichment learning opportunities in our K-8 summer school program.  All intervention classes will be held in person, while some enrichment classes will be virtual. Health and safety protocols will be followed for all classes.

Intervention will be provided in reading and math to fill gaps for students that are in need of more targeted skill instruction and will be provided free of charge.  Class size will be smaller than typical to provide more individualized instruction.

While we will make every attempt to provide services to all students interested in summer programming, classroom spots for remedial instruction will be filled in the order of priority due to staffing capacity:

     1.  Students recommended through grade-level data analysis or teacher recommendation.

     2.  Parent requests

    Grades 9-12

High school students will have the opportunity to take selected courses for original credit or may work toward credit recovery.  All in-person classes will be held at the Junior high due to renovations at the high school campus.  Some courses may be held virtually.

    English Language Learners (Grades K-12)

English language instruction will be available for K-12 English Learners and will be free of charge.

    Transition Programs (EHG, SJH, SHS)

Our Greene 101 transition program will be held on the EH Greene campus for our rising 5th graders (August 16-17 or August 18-19 with 8-11am sessions or 12-3pm sessions).  Our junior high and High School transitions will be held on the first day of school for our rising 7th and 9th graders (August 30, 2022)
