A Critical Need

  • The district has done extensive assessments of our facilities including renovations and potential replacement of our aging athletic venues. Currently, our facilities are leaving our student-athletes at a disadvantage compared to other league schools. Our leadership does not find that acceptable and is taking action.

Our Commitment

  • The Board of Education has made a commitment to our community to raising the bar for our district facilities. The approved bond issue includes nearly $5 million toward athletic facilities such as gymnasiums, locker rooms, and natatorium. The Board has also committed $2.5 million from the bond issue towards the renovation or replacement of Sycamore Stadium.

Now Is The Time

  • The time is right to act! Sycamore Community Schools will go through major facility changes pending the passage of the November bond issue. The district has a unique opportunity to make changes that will leave a legacy of greatness and impact future generations. The district will involve district stakeholders to ensure success.

This multi-purpose project will support all Sycamore students and the community. Aviator Athletics practices and games, marching band practice and performances, physical education classes, youth sports leagues, and the Sycamore community will all benefit from new athletic facilities at Sycamore High School.
