District Wellness
Sycamore's District Wellness Committee is made up of a diverse team of staff and parents, dedicated to promoting a healthy and supportive environment for everyone in the Sycamore Community Schools system - both staff and students. Leading our efforts are our enthusiastic co-chairs, Lisa Zelvy, Coordinator of Pupil Support Services, and Liz Helmbright, Child Nutrition and Wellness Director. Each school building has a dedicated representative who attends our district-wide meetings, ensuring that every voice is heard.
Our mission is to inspire teachers, students, and staff to lead healthy lives by providing them with the necessary tools and support. We strive to create a school environment where students can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our goal is to equip Sycamore students with the essential skills they need for lifelong success. Join us in making Sycamore a healthier, happier place to learn and grow!
