Register your student by following the instructions on our Registration page. 

Sycamore Community Schools does not offer open enrollment. Students and their families must currently live within our district boundaries to enroll.

To determine if your address falls within the residential boundaries for Sycamore Community Schools, please go to the Hamilton County Auditor's website.

Preschool and kindergarten registration are done in January and February each year. Please check the Registration page for more information on the registration process and requirements for preschool and kindergarten.

Student fees can be paid through Payschools Central.

1. Log on to Payschools Central. 

2. On the main page, click on "Online Fees" are displayed on the dashboard.

3. Add the fees to cart & proceed with payment.

Families can check student's grades, assignments, and courses, by logging on to Canvas

Grade information updates in real time.

You can find the bus pick-up and drop-off location and times by clicking here. You will need your student's ID number to look this information up. 

You can use the district's Find Your School map to determine which neighborhood elementary school your child will attend. 

• CURRENT STUDENTS:

  Seniors and other students who are applying to a college or scholarship can indicate what schools they are applying to in SchooLinks. Please understand the counselors must have a minimum of two weeks to complete your requests. Additional information on requesting transcripts and school documents can be found on our senior counseling page. 

  FORMER STUDENTS:

  Complete a Former Student Transcript Request and return by email to kempkel@sycamoreschools.org       

  The completed form can also be faxed to 513-489-7425 or mailed to:

  HIGH SCHOOL COURSES TAKEN AT SYCAMORE JUNIOR HIGH: 

  Many Sycamore Junior High School students take high school level courses in the grades 7-8. Classes such as geometry accelerated and/or global language offerings qualify as Sycamore High School credits and will appear on the official high school transcript.

  Math, art, and financial literacy courses taken at Sycamore High School for high school credit will be permanently recorded on the high school transcript and will not be eligible for removal at a later date. Since Global Language courses are required at Sycamore Junior High, the grades earned in these classes can be removed from the high school transcript. 

  After having a chance to settle into high school life, students and parents have an opportunity to delete credits earned at the junior high by filling out a JH Credit Adjustment Request. Once a credit has been deleted from the transcript, it will not be added back at a later date. Because the decision can impact GPA, class rank, college entrance requirements, and college admissions decisions, families were understandably quite anxious about making the correct decision. This form must be completed by the end of the first semester in the student’s junior year, which will allow time for consultation and information gathering with counselors in the Counseling Office. 

  Additionally, students should look carefully at the transcripts mailed home over the summer. If there are any questions regarding the transcript, including high school credits earned at Sycamore Junior High School, contact your Sycamore High School counselor immediately. Additional questions can be directed to the Counseling Department at 686-1770, ext. 3070.

The Sycamore Board of Education will make school facilities available for community use whenever it does not interfere with school activities, does not cause the district to incur additional costs, falls under the provisions of existing law, and is an appropriate use of the facilities in the judgment of the district. IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE DISTRICT MAY IMPLEMENT ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PLANS:

• Schools Closed: All Sycamore schools will be closed for the day, latch-key programs will not operate, and all after-school activities will be canceled unless those involved are notified otherwise.

• 2-Hour Delay: School buses will run on a 2-hour delay, and morning preschool, morning kindergarten, and Head Start classes will be canceled. Afternoon kindergarten, afternoon preschool, and afternoon Head Start classes will operate as usual. Dismissals for all other grades will occur as usual. The two hours will be added to the original start for your students’ building.

• Early dismissal: Early dismissals are rarely called. However, Sycamore Schools would greatly appreciate it if you reviewed your family's plan with your students for after-school arrangements.

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF A SCHOOL CLOSING/DELAY DUE TO THE WEATHER?

The district makes every effort to make a decision early enough to give families time to make child care arrangements. However, winter weather can be unpredictable and often storms move in during the overnight/early morning hours. Calls will be made no earlier than 5:00 a.m. and no later than 10:00 p.m.

IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, THREAT TO CAMPUS, OR OTHER EMERGENCY EVENT, SYCAMORE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS WILL IMPLEMENT SAFETY PROCEDURES AND MAY CHANGE SCHOOL START OR DISMISSAL TIMES FOR STUDENT SAFETY. 

Here are the ways we communicate emergency information:

• Email notifications. Please provide the school with your current email address or update it in Final Forms. 

• Automated phone calls. Please provide your school with current telephone numbers to reach you and other emergency contacts or update this information in Final Forms. 

• Remind text messages/emails/app notifications. Please make sure you have opted into receiving our communications via Remind by logging into your Remind account.

• Announcements on our district website.

• Announcements on social media. Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

• Announcements on TV and radio. 

Please note: If you have opted out of phone calls or emails, you will not be notified in the event of an emergency. Please contact helpdesk@sycamoreschools.org if you would like to opt-out or opt back in.

Sycamore Community Schools, per Ohio Revised Code, makes information regarding the district and its activities reasonably available upon public request.

Public records requests must be submitted in writing to publicrecordsrequest@sycamoreschools.org.

Each request for public records should be evaluated for a response using the following guidelines: 
Although no specific language is required to make a request, the requester must at least identify the records requested with sufficient clarity to allow the District to identify, retrieve, and review the records. If it is not clear what records are being sought, the records custodian may deny the request but shall provide the requester with an opportunity to revise the request by informing the requestor of the manner in which the office keeps its records.  

Public records are to be available for inspection during regular business hours, with the exception of published holidays. Public records shall be made available for inspection promptly. Copies of public records must be made available within a reasonable period of time. “Prompt” and “reasonable” shall take into account the volume of records requested; the proximity of the location where the records are stored; and the necessity for any legal review of the records requested.
