Sycamore Community Schools’ Operations Department is responsible for all aspects of the district’s business, operational, and facility needs. Our Operations team is dedicated to meeting the day-to-day needs of our students and staff — from school meals and transportation to the upkeep of our buildings, grounds, and facilities — ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-functioning environment for learning and growing.

Human Resources

Sycamore Community Schools is committed to supporting the dedicated educators and staff who serve our students every day. The Human Resources Department manages employment, onboarding, and personnel services in alignment with Board of Education policies to ensure a positive and professional work environment.

Facility Rental

Sycamore Community Schools is pleased to make its facilities available for community groups and organizations to rent when space allows. The Board of Education sets guidelines and fees that govern our facility rental process.

Maintenance, Grounds, and Custodial Services

This team maintains a clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for all who learn, work, or visit Sycamore’s schools. Our maintenance, grounds, and custodial crews enable a safe, healthy, and welcoming space for our students, families, and community.

Child Nutrition

Sycamore’s Child Nutrition team is passionate about providing healthy, appetizing, and well-balanced meal options for all students. Our menus are designed to nourish growing minds and bodies while honoring student preferences and special dietary needs.

Technology

Sycamore’s Technology Department is dedicated to providing students and staff with reliable, innovative tools that support learning, creativity, and connection. From classroom devices to digital resources and network infrastructure, our team ensures that technology enhances the educational experience while promoting digital responsibility and readiness for the future.

RFPs & Vendor Opportunities

Sycamore Community Schools values strong partnerships with vendors and service providers who support our mission. This page serves as a central hub for current Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bid opportunities, and vendor information. We invite qualified businesses to review active opportunities, download necessary documents, and submit proposals in accordance with outlined guidelines.

Safety and Security

Sycamore’s Operations team collaborates closely with local first responders — including police and fire departments — to keep our schools and community safe. We continually review and update safety plans, practice routines, and provide age-appropriate training and guidance to help foster a culture of preparedness and care.

Transportation

Sycamore owns and operates its own fleet of buses and transportation vehicles. Our number one priority is safely and efficiently transporting students to and from school and related activities. Our team strives to make every ride a comfortable and reliable experience for all.
