Transportation

Each day, Sycamore Community Schools bus drivers run three morning and three afternoon routes, safely transporting students to and from seven district schools, four vocational schools, and 19 non-public schools.

To ensure efficiency and maintain time schedules, Sycamore utilizes designated neighborhood bus stops, as outlined in the Ohio Administrative Code. All students may be required to walk to a nearby stop. For Head Start, Preschool, and Kindergarten students, a parent or authorized adult must supervise the child at the stop in the morning and be present to receive them in the afternoon.

By consolidating bus stops, Sycamore demonstrates both fiscal responsibility and a commitment to timely service. Individual home pickups would significantly increase the need for more buses, drivers, and fuel.

Sycamore’s Transportation Department is proud to be part of every student’s day and is deeply committed to safety. Our buses are rigorously maintained and consistently pass 100% of inspections by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
