Sycamore Community Schools celebrated a monumental day with the dedication of the Sadler Family Baseball & Softball Complex at Sycamore High School.

During the ceremony, Dan Henke Field, an all-synthetic turf baseball field, and the new all-synthetic turf softball field were unveiled, with current student-athletes and coaches on hand. The new state-of-the-art facilities will serve Sycamore’s student-athletes and the broader community for generations to come.

The ceremony included a special tribute to Dan Henke, a beloved former teacher, administrator, and baseball coach. Because of his commitment to Sycamore, the new baseball field was named in his honor, and Henke threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Henke was also recognized by the cities of Montgomery, Blue Ash, and Madeira, as each officially proclaimed October 18 Dan Henke Day.

Following the dedication, Sycamore alumni played on the new turf, taking part in a spirited exhibition to officially break in the complex.

All of us at Sycamore Schools extend our deepest gratitude to the valued donors who made this project possible, including the Sadler family. The dedication recognizes the countless individuals who played a role in making this vision a reality.
