Greg Pottebaum Named New Sycamore High School Principal
The Sycamore Community Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce Mr. Greg Pottebaum's appointment as the new principal of Sycamore High School, effective August 1, 2025. The Board approved the recommendation during its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 7.
Mr. Pottebaum brings two decades of educational experience, including eight years in school leadership. He most recently served as principal of West Clermont High School, where his leadership contributed to record-setting student achievement, including the school's highest graduation rate and performance index.
Mr. Pottebaum is a familiar face at Sycamore High School. From 2009 to 2017, he served as a math teacher, mentor, coach, and summer school director.
Mr. Pottebaum is known for fostering safe, supportive learning environments and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families. His innovative work in curriculum development, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and instructional technology has led to significant academic gains at West Clermont.
