Sycamore Community Schools
The Sycamore Community Schools athletic department reached a historic milestone this past weekend, officially dedicating the Gary Listermann Wrestling Room during the annual Sycamore Wrestling Invitational.
The ceremony served as a tribute to Coach Listermann’s extraordinary 29-year tenure within the district. Over nearly three decades of service, his leadership propelled the Aviator wrestling program to elite status. His career highlights include:
- 12 League Championships
- Seven-time Coach of the Year honors
- Induction into the Hall of Fame
While the statistics speak to his competitive success, those within the program know Coach Listermann’s true impact was found in his lifelong commitment to the development of our student-athletes.
