Sycamore Community Schools is proud to share that our district achieved outstanding results on the 2024–2025 Ohio School Report Card, earning a 4.5 overall star rating.

This reflects not only significant student achievement, but also the growth and progress that speak to the heart of our mission and vision.

The results highlight our commitment to building on a strong foundation of excellence while focusing on students academically, socially, and emotionally.

“We are extremely proud of the success demonstrated by our students and staff. These results are a reflection of their dedication and perseverance. We are also deeply grateful for the ongoing support of our families and community, whose partnership is essential to our continued success.”
Chad Lewis, Superintendent

Report Card Highlights

  • Third consecutive year of growth in gifted identification and services

  • Early literacy success with 99.8% of students promoted to 4th grade

  • Five of our seven schools earned five stars

  • District-wide five-star ratings in Achievement, Graduation, and Gap Closing

  • 94.8% of the maximum score on the state Performance Index

The overall rating is based on several key components that measure student success.

“The data shows that Sycamore is performing at a high level while also demonstrating growth in key areas. At the same time, we see areas of opportunity as a school system. This balance of strengths and opportunities fuels our collective commitment to continuous growth and to meeting the needs of every student.”
Meghan Lawson, Assistant Superintendent

These results reaffirm our mission to empower all learners to reach their full potential and showcase the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community working together.

“Even with major curriculum changes, our teachers rose to the challenge. Their commitment to student learning truly made the difference.”
Rebecca Tompkins, Director of Curriculum & Instruction

In October, the district will share a full report with the Board of Education, highlighting the strategies behind this progress and the plans to build on this momentum.

Together, we celebrate these positive results and remain committed to helping every Aviator grow and succeed.
