Sycamore FIRST Lego League Team Wins State Award
Sycamore Community Schools is proud to announce a team of students from Sycamore Junior High, Maple Dale and Montgomery were recognized during the Ohio FIRST Lego League state competition this weekend.
The Brick Girls received the Judges Award “Rising Star” during the state tournament, and were among the top eight teams for their Innovation Solution.
The Omegabots, which is made up of student from E.H. Greene Intermediate and Sycamore Junior High, also competed at the state competition held in Dayton.
A group of Sycamore High School students have also advanced to the FIRST Tech Challenge state competition. The Radical Six will compete on Saturday, Feb. 13 at iSpace in Sharonville. Congratulations to all of our teams!
This year, Sycamore expanded the FIRST LEGO League from one school to five, with 10 district-sponsored teams, 3 neighborhood teams, more than 20 parent coaches and more than 100 students participating. In all six of the 13 teams received awards for their work.
