Students To Represent Ohio In World Robotics Championships
Two groups of Sycamore Community Schools students will be representing the state of Ohio at two world robotic championship events.
The Omegabots, a neighborhood LEGO League team featuring students from E.H. Greene Intermediate, Sycamore Junior High, and Sycamore High School, have been invited to represent Ohio at the LEGOLAND North American Open. The championship will take place May 19-21 in Carlbad, California. The Omegabots include Tanay Kothari, Nikhil Kohli, and Eshika Kohli.
Sycamore Junior High student Arushi Sharma’s neighborhood team, Scientific Touch, finished in second place at a recent LEGO League state tournament. They will be one of two teams representing the Buckeye State at the FIRST LEGO League World Tournament. The event will be held April 26-29 in St. Louis.
Pineapple Robotics FIRST Tech Challenge team with two Sycamore Junior High students, Krishna Suresh and Andrew Sakemiller and three Mason students, were part of the "Winning Alliance" at the Kentucky State Championships.
