New Blue Ash Principal Named

Natalie JimenezThe Sycamore Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Jimenez as the next principal of Blue Ash Elementary School. 

“We are excited to welcome Mrs. Jimenez to the Sycamore family,” said Superintendent Chad Lewis. “Her extensive experience, innovative approach, and commitment to student achievement make her an outstanding choice to lead our school forward. We look forward to her working collaboratively with the dedicated staff, students, and families."

Currently serving as the Principal of Heritage Early Childhood in Lakota Local Schools, and previously as Assistant Principal, Jimenez has demonstrated her commitment to student success and school community engagement.

During her tenure at Heritage Early Childhood, Jimenez implemented a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) structure to enhance student intervention strategies, resulting in significant improvements in early literacy. She also collaborated with stakeholders to spearhead initiatives such as the establishment of a community garden and the implementation of mental health supports for students.

“I am beyond honored to have the opportunity to serve as the next principal of Blue Ash Elementary,” said Jimenez. “I look forward to partnering with the dedicated staff, students, and families to continue Sycamore’s commitment to excellence and student success. I am committed to fostering a positive learning environment where every child can thrive."

Prior to her role at Lakota Local Schools, Jimenez served as Assistant Principal at Ivy Hill Elementary in Arlington Heights. There, she played a pivotal role in facilitating the staff Blue Ribbon Writing Committee, which led to the school receiving the prestigious National Blue Ribbon Award in 2019.

Jimenez's extensive experience also includes leadership positions at the Summer University Program in Arlington Heights and the Summer School ESL Program in Franklin, Illinois.

Natalie Jimenez holds a Master's degree in School Leadership from Concordia University, with an Administration Endorsement, as well as a Master's degree in Reading Education. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University and holds a Professional Educator License in Early Childhood Education.

Jimenez will succeed longtime Blue Ash principal Leslie Combs, who will be retiring at the end of the current school year.
