Sycamore’s 58th Pancake Day
The Sycamore Band and Orchestra Boosters will host the 58th annual Pancake Day at Sycamore High School on February 29 from 8 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Pancakes will be served from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Pancake Day is part of the Sycamore Community Schools’ Fine Arts Fair, a free art exhibition at Sycamore High School that showcases Sycamore students’ works of art and photography. The Art Expo will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. as well as on Sunday, March 1 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Artwork from K-12 will be on display with live art demos and studio tours. Opening night for the Art Expo will take place on February 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tickets for Pancake Day are $6 and include pancakes, sausage, beverages and free second helpings of pancakes. Tickets can be purchased from any band or orchestra student or at Sycamore High School on the day of the event.

- 2:30 pm - 8th Grade Band
- 3:00 pm - Jazz Ensemble
The public is invited to listen to the performances for free.
Last year, Band and Orchestra parents cooked and served more than 170 gallons of pancake batter; 26 gallons of syrup; 1,800 cups of coffee; 2,000 cartons of milk; and 300 pounds of sausage to complete the breakfast offerings to more than 2,200 people.
Proceeds from Pancake Day benefit Sycamore Community Schools’ Instrumental Music Programs.
