Sycamore High Students Win 97 Regional Scholastic Art Awards
Sycamore Community Schools is proud to announce the winners of 2016 Regional Scholastic Art and Writing competition. The winning art was comprised of paintings, drawings, photographs, digital graphic design, 3D sculpture, stop animation and architecture housing models. All of the award-winning work will be on display at the Sycamore Community Schools District Fine Arts Fair on March 5-6 at Sycamore High School.
Sycamore High School students won a total of 97 awards at the regional competition which saw more than 5,500 submissions. Sycamore students earned a total of 30 Gold Key awards, 27 Silver Key awards, and 40 Honorable Mentions. The Gold Key award winners have advanced to the National Scholastic Competition. Their works are heading to New York to compete against other regional winners from across the United States.
