Sycamore Student Named Wendy's High School Heisman School Winner

Kyle Green Wendy’s High School Heisman has recognized Sycamore High School senior Kyle Green as one of the 2016-2017 School Winners. The national award is given to students who give back to their community, treat people with respect, and excel both in the classroom and on the athletic field.

Green is a member of the National Honor Society, Global Language National Honor Society, Latin Club, and the Sycamore Athletic Leadership Team. He was named a 2016 AP Scholar with Honor in May 2016.

Green is a two-time district qualifier in Division I Wrestling, serving as co-captain during his sophomore year. He won the Greater Miami Conference All-Academic Award in 2014 for having a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

Green is also involved in the community. He volunteers at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church every week and tutors junior high and high school students in Latin and Math. In 2015, Green traveled to Belize with a group of AP Environmental Science students to conduct a weeklong study on dolphin behavior with the Oceanic Society.
