Sycamore Junior High Students Win Anti-Bullying Contest
A group of Sycamore Junior High students were selected as the winners of an international anti-bullying video contest sponsored by Hey U.G.L.Y. (Unique, Gifted, Lovable You).
The Sycamore Junior High News Crew along with Sycamore Students Taking Action Against Negative Decisions (STAAND) created the video to encourage students to not be bystanders when they see bullying happening in their school.
Students Pranathi Madala, Atara Zmora, Nathan Gibson, Daniel Halstead, and Ana Ramirez produced and acted in the video under the guidance of adviser/facilitator Kim Jarvis.
The collaborative team won $250 for our Sycamore Junior High School as well as their video will be published on the Hey U.G.L.Y. website.
