Sycamore High Students Participate in Senior Service Day

Over 400 Sycamore High School seniors spent their day volunteering in the Greater Cincinnati area on April 24 as part of the school's first-ever Senior Service Day. Students worked in teams from 9:00  a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  to help support local community members, beautify Cincinnati parks and support nonprofit organizations.

Senior Service Day was adopted to provide students the opportunity to make an impact in the community before graduating.  This service learning project helped seniors to share their academic skills to address needs in the community.  Each senior was given the opportunity to choose a place to volunteer that corresponded with their interests.

Students volunteered at the following places:

Sycamore Elementary Schools

E.H Greene Band and Orchestra

Sycamore High School Athletic Department

Sycamore Community Schools Maintenance Department

Operation Giveback

Matthew 25 Ministries

Glenwood Gardens

Montgomery Parks Department

Blue Ash Parks Department

Sharon Woods

Winton Hills Academy

Our Daily Bread

Senior Service Day was very successful and will now be an action completed annually by our high school seniors before graduation.  We applaud them for supporting the community and making an impact.
