Sycamore High School Choral students have been invited to perform with a legendary music group for the second time this year. The choir will take the stage with Foreigner tonight at Riverbend.
Sycamore’s choral group will join Foreigner onstage to help sing their number one hit song “I Want to Know What Love Is” during the rock band’s 40th-anniversary tour.
“It’s one of those lifetime opportunities, especially with Foreigner,” said senior Ben Swart. “It’s just really special.”
The performance with Foreigner comes off the heels of another exciting opportunity. The group of 25 students took the stage with award-winning country artist Eric Church in February. They sang backup on Church’s new single, “A Mistress Named Music.” Click here to see a video of the performance.
“After we came off the stage for Eric Church, I asked myself, did that actually just happen? It’s just so unreal,” said sophomore Sam Barans.
Sycamore High School’s Choral program has six competitive ensembles which consistently receive Excellent and Superior ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association Large-Group Adjudicated events.
