E.H. Greene Students Participating in One Book, One Day
Students at E.H. Greene Intermediate are reading an entire book during the last day of school before Fall Break.
The fifth and sixth graders are reading “All of the Above” by Shelley Pearsall as part of One Book, One Day. As students move through every bell, including specials, each teacher is reading that bell’s designated pages of the book. Some bells are reading the book out loud, others are watching videos of students or administrators reading it. Even the cafeteria is getting in on the fun by serving barbeque and chocolate mini cupcakes which relate to the story.
Based on a true story, “All of the Above” tells the story of four inner-city students and their quest to build the world’s largest tetrahedron. Students will create their own individual tetrahedron during the day. Parent volunteers will later assemble the smaller pieces into one grand tetrahedron in the Media Center.
