SHS Hosts Gender Equality Panel Discussion

Sycamore High School’s He for She Club is sponsoring a panel discussion with local female leaders on Wednesday, December 6 from 11:30-12:30 p.m.

Eleven women from the Cincinnati area will speak on their life story and challenges they have faced as women. The panel includes:

  • Renee Hevia, former Sycamore High School administrator
  • Dr. Adrienne James, former Sycamore Schools superintendent
  • Katelyn Jarvis, President, and Founder of Peace Stamps
  • Carmen Maxwell, National Marketing Director for Juice Plus
  • Isabel Mendez, Global Finance & Accounting Manager for P&G
  • Megan Park, Founder of Putting Women in Their Place
  • Dr. Christine Phillips, Oncologist and Assistant Professor at UC Dept. of Pediatrics
  • Dr. Monica Schneider, Associate Professor of Political Science
  • Ruth Seiple, Business Professor and Director of the Kolodzik Business Scholars
  • Dr. Ashley Solomon, Founder of the Eating Recovery Center
  • Dr. Cindy Veraldo, Assistant Professor of Sports Management

The discussion will include a question and answer session surrounding the topic of gender equality and what the student body can do to promote it. Students and interested parents are invited to attend the free event.

He for She Club works to promote gender equality at Sycamore High School and the wider Sycamore community. The club originates from a United Nations entity, UN Women. To learn more about their global mission, visit www.heforshe.org.
