Sycamore High School marketing students just took home dozens of awards at the DECA State Competition held March 9-10 in Columbus.
Out of the 93 Sycamore students who competed at the state-level, 67 placed in the Top 10. More than 40 students placed in the Top 4, punching their ticket to DECA International Career Development Conference.
Sycamore’s DECA students won 10 first place awards in categories ranging from Principles in Finance to Sports & Entertainment Marketing. To see a full list of the winners, click here.
Students have been competing in various local district competitions since December. They were judged on their written exam and role play. Many staff, alumni, and local business leaders helped them prepare for these events through coaching sessions.
DECA Internationals will be held April 21-24 in Atlanta, Georgia.
