Sycamore Schools Receives 2018 Momentum Award

Momentum award logo Sycamore Community Schools is proud to receive the 2018 Momentum Award from Ohio's State Board of Education. 

The Momentum Award recognizing districts that received A's on every Value-Added measure included on Ohio’s school and district report cards. The district must also have at least two Value-Added subgroups of students, which includes gifted, lowest 20% in achievement, and students with disabilities.

"As a Momentum Award winner, Sycamore School’s report card shows your district is committed to its students’ success by ensuring students exceeded the growth expectations in English language arts and mathematics," said State Board of Education President Tess Elshoff. "I also congratulate Sycamore on recruiting and motivating the high-quality leaders and staff needed to make this happen."

This is the second year that Sycamore Schools has received the award for exceeding expectations in student growth.

In addition, Maple Dale Elementary, Montgomery Elementary, Symmes Elementary, and E.H. Greene Intermediate received 2018 Overall A Awards for earning an Overall A on their school report card.
