Families and community members are welcome to attend any one of the Concept Testing sessions listed above. Each session typically lasts 1.5 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in a brief survey with a smartphone or wifi device. Sessions held at our schools will include an optional tour of the facility following the survey.
The goal of our Concept Testing sessions is to gain feedback from students, staff, families, and community members on which option the district should move forward with. The Board of Education will vote on a recommended option in March 2019 based on the results of the Concept Testing sessions. This is why your attendance is so important!
How this process began In 2016, Sycamore Community Schools began a multi-phase process to enhance our 21st-century learning environments for current students and future generations. Based on facility assessments, community engagement, and educational visioning, the district has developed a Master Facility Plan that includes three options.
