Sycamore High School's Winter Drumline was just named a finalist at the Winter Guard International (WGI) World Championships. 

The group placed tenth in the A Class Finals during the event at the University of Dayton Arena on April 13. Sycamore's Winter Drumline is the first ensemble in school history to appear at the WGI World Championship finals. 

More than 12,000 performers participated in the WGI World Championship events. Some groups traveled from as far as Japan and the Netherlands to compete. The three-day World Championships included more than 350 guards, 250 percussion ensembles, and 40 winds groups.
