Fashion For The Cure Receives 2019 Impact Award
Sycamore High School’s Fashion for the Cure event has earned the 2019 Dragonfly Foundation’s Impact Award after shattering fundraising goals this year.
The 13th annual Fashion for the Cure benefitted the Dragonfly Foundation, a local non-profit organization that helps young cancer and bone marrow transplant patients and their families find strength.
This year’s fashion show featured local Dragonfly children modeling clothing from local boutiques as well as original pieces created by Sycamore High School fashion design students.
The event raised over $25,000 for the Dragonfly Foundation in 2018. They exceeded their goal of $30,000 this year, raising $48,000 for local families.
Student organizers along with teacher leader Deborah Klemt were honored at Dragonfly’s Night of Courage event on Friday, September 27 at The Phoenix.
