#ParkerDennyStrong: Help Support SHS Senior
One of our fellow Aviator family members, Parker Denny, Class of 2021, had a significant health scare recently and is currently battling Medulloblastoma.
Sycamore High School Student Council is working to support our friend and his family members in as many ways as possible. For the next two weeks, Student Council leaders will offer various ways in which the Sycamore Family can show their support for Parker. They are currently collecting encouraging letters and cards. If you would like to participate, please send your cards to Parker Denny c/o Rose Mitchell Sycamore High School 7400 Cornell Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45242. The final letter collection will be on April 16.
Thanks to everyone who showed their support for Sycamore senior Parker Denny by wearing jerseys on April 9! In case you missed it, there will be another chance to show your #ParkerDennyStrong support next Friday! We're asking everyone to wear GOLD on Friday, April 16 for Pediatric Cancer Awareness!
Be sure to look for sidewalk chalk words of encouragement around the high school campus and a new sign that popped up along Cornell Road this week.
Student Council is also selling #ParkerDennyStrong wristbands at school. All donations go directly to support the Denny family. Any size donation is welcome. You can drop off your donation to Room 246 or leave in Kate Korchok's mailbox.
Student Council is also making a post-it note collection to deliver to Parker:
- In-person learners: Write an encouraging note to Parker on a given post-it note during your AIRS bell! Student Council will collect all notes & ensure that they are given to Parker and his family
- Virtual learners: Email one of the Student Council leaders below with your message—we will add your encouraging words to the overall poster!
