2nd Annual Bus Walk Bike Day at E.H. Greene
E.H. Greene Intermediate is excited to present the 2nd Annual Bus Walk Bike Day, to be held in conjunction with their annual Walk-A-Thon. On Friday, May 14, E.H. Greene students and staff will reduce their carbon footprint and promote a healthy lifestyle by busing, walking, and biking to school. There will be three ways to participate:
- Bus riders can ride to Sycamore Jr. High and walk to school with their cohort beginning at 8:00 a.m.
- Students can walk or bike directly from home
- Students can walk or bike from three designated meeting spots, each less than 1 mile from school beginning at 7:50 a.m.
Virtual students and students who are normally dropped off can walk or bike from home or a meeting spot. Virtual students will be picked up after the Walk-A-Thon.
Safety is our highest priority!
- Students will be escorted by Greene staff, and Blue Ash and Montgomery police officers
- All bus riders, walkers, and bikers will wear masks and remain in cohorts
- Bikers will wear helmets
The Walk-A-Thon fundraiser will take place at E.H. Greene from 8:20-11:00 a.m. Both virtual and face-to-face students will walk with their cohorts by Team through the surrounding neighborhoods since the walking track is already under construction for the new building. The Walk-A-Thon supports programs such as Arts Alive, school clubs, teacher appreciation lunches and gifts, teacher and school special requests (playground, classroom projects and/or supplements, etc). In addition, 10% of the profits will go toward Sycamore Bridges and Operation Give Back—local charitable organizations that work directly with students and families within the Sycamore Community.
