2021-22 Healthy Aves Plan Update

We wanted to provide you with a brief update on our planning for the 2021-22 school year.

Right now, district administrators are reviewing the Healthy Aves Plan for changes and updates for the new school year. No decisions have been made or communicated at this time.

Incoming Superintendent Chad Lewis will provide a review of the first draft of the revised plan during the July 21 Board of Education meeting. Final recommendations for the 2021-22 Healthy Aves Plan will be shared at the August 4 Board meeting. As a reminder, our first day of school is August 30.

The Sycamore Data Assessment Risk Team (DART) continues to assess current health data to help us make data-informed decisions about our Healthy Aves safety protocols and procedures. We will also continue to follow guidance from the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health.

The district is exploring available space for both virtual and face-to-face participation at Board meetings beginning July 21. Construction at several of our schools is limiting our options. More information will be shared at a later time.
