Sycamore Community Schools is excited to welcome Dr. Tanya Davis as the district’s new Director of Human Resources.
"I am honored to have been selected as Sycamore's Director of Human Resources. As a Cincinnati native, I am well aware of the District's stellar reputation for academic excellence,” said Dr. Davis. “I look forward to becoming a member of the Sycamore Community and engaging in the work needed to help achieve the goals outlined in the District's Strategic Plan."
Dr. Davis brings 18 years of diverse educational experience to the team, including most recently serving as Director of Human Resources in Trotwood-Mason City Schools. Prior to that, she led the Human Resources Department at Reynoldsburg City Schools. Dr. Davis has also served as the Assistant Director of Urban Support for the Ohio Department of Education Office for Exceptional Children, Senior Director of Student Services for Middletown Schools, Executive Director of Autry Learning Center, and Student Services Manager for Cincinnati Public Schools. She served as an Educational Audiologist in Cincinnati Public Schools.
“Dr. Davis brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Sycamore Community Schools,” said Chad Lewis, superintendent. “We are excited about the tools and resources she will share with our district while setting up a structure focused on continuous improvement of our processes and building strong relationships with our staff.”
Dr. Davis currently teaches courses as an adjunct professor at Mount St. Joseph University. She has a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Cincinnati, a Masters in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Miami University, and her Superintendent License.
The Board approved the hiring of Davis at a special meeting on July 13. Her first day was officially August 1.
