Wellman was responsible for food procurement, inventory management, and the establishment of sanitation and food safety procedures. She also played a crucial role in the supervision, evaluation, and employment recommendations of the Food & Nutrition Staff.

“Over the past few years, we have worked hard to design exciting, student-centered cafeteria spaces. We are excited to have Liz on our team to carry out the mission of fueling each student so they can reach their full potential,” said Lovell.

Prior to leading Fairfield’s food service operations, Wellman was the Child Nutrition Field Supervisor at Sycamore schools, where she helped develop school menus, and coordinated all districtwide catering events.

“I am thrilled and honored to be back at Sycamore Schools, rejoining this incredible team of professionals,” said Wellman. “I am eager to contribute the skills and passion for Child Nutrition that I have learned in my time away, and I look forward to serving this wonderful community once again.

Wellman's commitment to excellence and dedication to professional development are evident through her involvement in various leadership roles. She served as the Professional Development Chair for the School Nutrition Association and as a committee member of the Unified Purchasing Cooperative Purchasing Committee.
