Congratulations to our 15 outstanding Sycamore High School seniors for achieving the prestigious status of Semifinalists in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program! This remarkable achievement places them in the top one percent of high school seniors across the entire United States.

The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes students based on their exceptional performance on the PSAT qualifying test taken in the 2022-2023 school year.

These talented individuals are among approximately 16,000 national semifinalists who will now have the opportunity to compete for 7,140 scholarships collectively worth $28 million. Next February, around 15,000 Semifinalists nationwide will receive notification of their advancement to Finalist status. The number of semifinalists in each state is proportional to the state’s percentage of the national total of graduating seniors.
