The fashion show on Friday, February 26 benefited the Dragonfly Foundation, which supports children and young adults living with cancer and various blood diseases. The event featured a fashion show, raffle baskets, a silent auction, food and live music.
Over the past ten years, this student-run event has raised more than $120,000 for various non-profit charities in the Cincinnati area. In 2014, Sycamore teamed up with the Dragonfly Foundation permanently. Last year, students raised $20,000 for the cause.
"Seeing the support and love my friends, my family, and the school has come to have towards Fashion For The Cure and The Dragonfly Foundation is amazing." Hannah Moskowitz, student chair. “We appreciate the support in helping make a difference in these people's lives. They are just like us, and we have made it our mission to do everything we can to improve their quality of life during these heartbreaking experiences."
The fashion show featured students, staff, and young Dragonflies modeling formal and casual clothing from local boutiques as well as original pieces created by Sycamore High School fashion design students.
Fashion for the Cure Raises $27K
Sycamore High School students raised $27,580 for children battling serious illnesses through the 10th Annual Fashion for the Cure.
