Students in seventh and eighth grade compete at the district, regional, and the state levels in the field of creative writing. During a competition, students are given prompts that they have never seen and are to write a full story within a 40 minute time period. Judging of the three rounds is tallied and points are given and accumulated for each individual and for the teams.
