Suzanne Longworth started her career as an intervention specialist in Cobb County, Georgia. Upon returning to Cincinnati, where she grew up, she served as an Intervention Specialist for Special Education at St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Schools as well as Indian Hill Schools. She transitioned to a role in Special Education Administration with Cincinnati Public Schools and then moved into the Director of Special Education role with Reading Community City Schools.
As Sycamore’s District Special Education Supervisor, Longworth is responsible for overseeing support programs for students with disabilities including academic programming, district and state assessments, leading building administrators in the review of special education student performance data and compliance, and monitoring programs to improve student outcomes. Longworth is committed to working collaboratively with the offices of curriculum, technology, and teams within individual school buildings to embed curricular and instructional approaches that center on the basic assumption that all students learn differently.
Longworth earned a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Ohio University, and master’s degree in Educational Administration from Xavier University.
