Attendance
It is important for students to attend school every day. Absent or late students miss valuable instructional time and may miss out on opportunities such as field trips or college/career exploration events. Families are encouraged to avoid scheduling appointments, vacations, or other events during school hours. Research shows that any type of absence, excused or unexcused, dramatically decreases a student’s chance of graduating on time.
If your child will be absent, notify the school as soon as possible by calling the attendance line
(513) 686-1707. Students with multiple absences may require additional interventions. Parents may be asked to attend a conference to discuss strategies for improving attendance. In cases of multiple unexcused absences, the district may be required to file a truancy petition, potentially resulting in court involvement.
