It’s time to enroll for your 2025 benefits! Butler Health Plan (BHP) provides a comprehensive range of medical, prescription, and dental coverage options. All employees must enroll online during the open enrollment window from November 6-19, 2024. Failure to enroll could result in a loss of coverage, so don’t miss this important deadline!
New this year we have partnered with American Fidelity as our Section 125 plan provider, offering Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts and supplemental benefit offerings. Be on the lookout for informational staff meetings in your building and details on how to sign up for your one-on-one meeting to enroll in these benefits for 2025 plan year.
Health Plan Options
For 2025, you have several medical plan options to suit your needs:
- TrueCost Plan: No deductible and copay-based for most services. This plan offers the lowest out-of-pocket maximum and is ideal for those seeking predictable costs.
- Anthem PPO Plan: This plan comes with deductibles and coinsurance but provides the best benefits when using in-network providers.
- Anthem HDHP Plan: A high deductible health plan with lower payroll deductions. This plan is eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA) to save tax-free dollars for medical expenses.
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA): A flexible spending account can help you save money for healthcare and/or dependent care items and services. FSA funds are deducted from your paycheck before taxes. Click here to learn more about FSA.

Who is Eligible for Benefits?
- Classified and exempt staff (OAPSE) who work 20 hours or more per week.
- All certified staff (SEA)
- All administrators
Not sure if you're eligible?
Employees must log in to the portal beginning November 6 to elect or waive benefits. Failure to do so by November 19 may result in an automatic waiver and/or a loss of coverage if the employee is currently enrolled.
2025 Dental Plan Options
Choose from Basic, Standard, or Premium dental coverage with varying levels of benefits for basic, major, and orthodontic care. Networks include Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier.

How To Enroll
Beginning November 6, log in to the employee portal below or bookmark this URL: https://butlerhealthplan.
Log Into The Employee Portal:
- Username: first initial + last name + last 4-digits of your social security number + @sycamore (for example jdoe1234@sycamore)
- Password: If you have previously set up a password, it should remain the same for this enrollment period. If you need to reset your password, please email humanresources@sycamoreschools.org.

Informational meetings will be held at your building in the coming weeks, along with individual meetings with American Fidelity salary-based representatives. They are dedicated to helping you understand your options and guide you through the enrollment process.
Whether you're planning on maintaining your current coverage choices, considering making changes, or waiving coverage, it is essential you schedule an appointment to ensure accuracy of all your information for the 2025 plan year.
